- Dr. Ted Haberman from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration discussed the ongoing development and application of ISO data standards.
- Dr. Carol Myer provided an overview of the ESIP Federation http://www.esipfed.org, a consortium of 115 Earth and environmental data centers formed in 1998 to increase the use and impact of Earth science data and information.
